Position Summary:
The teacher is the central person responsible for planning and implementing the school’s instructional program in relationship to the academic, emotional, social, physical, cultural, and aesthetic development of all students. Teachers are also responsible for fostering open lines of communication with parents and guardians.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
PA State Teacher Certification required
Teaching experience preferred.

The Special Education Teacher is also responsible for the management of IEPs, Progress Monitoring and related services for the students they service. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for demonstrating strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, as well as good organizational ability. Collaboration with regular education teachers is imperative.
