Joseph T. Foster Jr.


Joseph Foster served as Principal of Imhotep Charter High School in Philadelphia from 2006-2012.

Joseph became a Google educator in 2015. He was trained on Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Chrome Web Store and organizing email.

Additionally, Joseph is a member of Project 2061, an American Association for the Advancement of Science sponsored initiative focused on science literacy, curriculum blocks and resource analysis. In 1972, Mr. Foster co-founded Harambee Institute Inc., an African-centered elementary school in the West Philadelphia area. Joseph was also the co-founder of Songhai Empire, the 1st African-centered program in the Philadelphia Public School in 1991. Joseph was a grant writer of the 1997 Harambee Institute Charter School of Science and Technology. Joseph was an adjunct professor at Arcadia University.

Joseph currently serves on the board of the Beta Gamma Foundation and Core Scholars.
