Donna Holmes-Lockett


Donna Holmes-Lockett is a graduate of the School of Education at Temple University. She furthered her education at Cabrini College where she earned her Administrative Certification. While working with the School District of Philadelphia, Donna was an adjunct professor at Holy Family University where she collaborated with the university and district teachers in the area of math. Donna’s 33 years of experience in the district in various roles provided her with opportunities of planning and administering the implementation of instructional strategies to support the academic programs in many schools. Additionally, Ms. Lockett offered technical assistance to principals and teachers in the expansion and refinement of “best practices” in math, science and literacy, as well as supporting them in the delivery of instructional programs that addressed current academic concerns.

Now, as a retired principal, Donna is spending time with her family, traveling and being involved in several organizations. The organization of which she devotes much of her time is Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. a public service sorority. Donna currently holds the position of 3rd Vice President of the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter.
