Today, Governor Tom Wolf announced the closure of all Pennsylvania schools for two weeks, beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. To comply with this order, Harambee Institute of Science and Technology will close on Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27, 2020. No students or staff will report to school during these two weeks.
While Harambee still does not have any suspected or confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are taking all necessary precautions to protect the health and well-being of our school community. As such, we will take this time to continue to develop alternative ways to deliver instruction should we need to activate our plan. Additionally, our school is scheduled to be deep cleaned March 13 – 15, 2020.
To help ensure that our students do not fall behind in their learning, we have prepared and made available learning packets for our students. These packets may be found on our website at www.histcs.org and on Class Dojo. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the learning opportunities that we have provided.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to communicate with you to keep you informed through robocalls and our website. Asante Sana for your cooperation as we “pull together” during this difficult time. Please be safe.
